What is Lexica?

Lexica is an Artificial Intelligence platform for creating, consuming and distributing software applications -based entirely on Natural Language.

No coding. No solution design. No modeling or architecting. Not even drag-and-dropping. Just typing in simple sentences. Using your own words.

Create

picCreate.png

Log in to a complete creator interface and build your application from scratch, or evolve one you've already launched. The catch? You don't have to code it. Not even drag-and-drop it. Just describe it. Use your own words. It really is that simple.

End users, business analysts, consultants, everyone capable of describing a process or requirement is now empowered to build the application that solves it.

Consume

picCons.png

Once you've finished creating your application (meaning, describing it), it's ready to be used, on the spot. Add users, create records, get productive in no time. Our cloud platform will not only allow you to build apps, but actually use them in production environments with industry-class security and response times.

Not a fan of cloud consumption? No problem. Download a locally installable runtime version of your app, and voilà.

distribute

picDist.png

So, you've created a fantastic application that solves this huge pain you had. Surely others would benefit, right? Well, publish your end product into our app Marketplace for the world to purchase and use immediately. We'll take care of all sales and cloud operation, while you just rake in your shared revenue.

How about editing an app purchased through the marketplace? That's the best part. Since it's all natural language, just edit the text to fit your case.

Why Lexica?

We're not just about creating a faster, easier way to build software. We're about empowering anyone to turn their ideas into real world solutions.

We strongly believe that great ideas can come from anyone, and that everyone should have the power to turn those ideas into material applications that solve problems and create value. Today the ability to create software is locked into a very small group, and yet knowledge is spread worldwide.

With our technology, anyone can build the applications that drive the processes that make our world better every day.

WE ARE CROWDFUNDING!

Are you interested in changing the world by helping to empower anyone with the capability of creating software, regardless of background? Do you want to get involved in the forefront of Artificial Intelligence-applied software engineering? Would you like early access into the next big thing! you're in luck!

The world agrees on the importance of technology skills to drive our economies in coming years, and yet there is a growing lack of talented developers. Initiatives from Code.org to President Obama's Computer Science for All aim to get more and more people skilled in software development.

Lexica can help fill this talent gap by enabling much more people to build software without relying on coding skills.

innovation

Forrester Research in 2015 uncovers why companies prefer custom applications to drive innovation. Most IT leaders agree that differentiation is contained within custom software, where innovation is materialized.

Surprisingly (or is it?) the same report finds that more than half companies are also unsatisfied with their custom projects, across different measures -delays, unmet needs, budget overruns, to name a few.

requirements

An insight into why such high levels of dissatisfaction in software projects may be provided by  IAG Consulting's research which finds that two thirds of all IT projects are likely to fail because an improper analysis of business requirements. This means that most software project failures are not even technology-related

Lexica's language-based approach gives requirement management the starring role it deserves, by focusing the entire development process on proper requirement definition.

We’ve entered the empowered era: an age in which power has shifted from corporations and government institutions to people — people who have been empowered by software-fueled technology. Software will be everywhere and part of nearly everything — the glue that binds everything together.
— Phil Murphy, VP and Research Director, Forrester Research

How does it work?

With our approach, organizations and individuals can leverage what they already know. They only write down their requirements, using the language they already understand.

Our platform does not rely on traditional programming or code, not even auto-generated –it bypasses code entirely by creating and instancing knowledge models derived from a semantic understanding of source text. As such, all that is needed to build software is the capability to describe it.

Lexica’s platform accelerates software development and support processes from 5 to 10+ times, giving benefits in accuracy, evolution, portability and scalability.

primary platform components

Analyzer

analyzerthumb.png

Our main product is a cloud application called Analyzer, which captures user-entered business requirements via simple phrases that describe step-by-step whatever is being defined. Analyzer then performs a semantic analysis of the text and creates a knowledge model that exhaustively represents (“solves”) all the logic described.

Engine

engIcon.png

Engine is a platform-specific runtime component capable of instancing models produced by Analyzer, as working software applications. There is an Engine version for each target platform, and currently we have Engines for Web and for Windows applications, with others on our roadmap. As standard, our platform service includes Cloud Engines in order to use built applications directly as Cloud software.

Tools

Beyond Analyzer and Engine, we have a set of predefined Tools that complement the offering and enhance funcionality, such as connectors to third party systems (e.g. SAP) and prebuilt templates for even-faster-to-market applications (such as standard core ERP modules).

A SENSE OF PURPOSE

The state of the industry today is being pulled in three incompatible directions: An ever-increasing demand for software applications; complex skills required to build production-ready software, which leads to shortage of skilled people; and a world of people with ideas, knowledge, and willingness in getting involved, creating things, and making an impact, if only it was available to them. Lexica's mission is to finally reconcile these three extremes elegantly, and bridge the gap between people with ideas and a world that needs them turned into useful software.
